First Day of School

Glad it's here!  Started the morning off right with a trip to Bubba's for breakfast and a ride in the yellow truck.   We also stopped by Marmee and Popsy's house to wish Popsy a happy birthday. The kiddos didn't hesitate one bit as they entered their classrooms.  Yeah!

I've been thinking about our summer and all that we did... Jasmin's stay, the HP pool,  the lake trip with the Thomasons, digging for worms in the yard, the front yard waterslide, gymnastics/rymnastics, Sunday nights at the DCC,  playdates, CH, the list goes on.  We had a wonderful summer, but the start of the school year is always fun.   I'm excited about the fall, football season, preschool, Fire Ants soccer, Bible Study,  Whit's music class, and Will's hockey class.  Should be a fun year.   

Please & Thank You

Whit's first sentence.... "I want it!"   I'm so proud!  Ughhh.... what can i say?  He said it a bunch one day... usually spoken with a very loud voice (ok... screamed) and then followed by enthusiastic pointing at some type of food or a toy.  Thankfully, he promptly forgot his new sentence the following day. He IS a champ at saying please, thank you, and bye-bye.  Says them all frequently.  Love him!

This Week's Garage Sale Find!

OK... so we hit the garage sale circuit every weekend.  Will always comes home with something wonderful.  His treasure this week was a white convertible car- about 18 inches long with cloth seats, seat belts, working trunk, etc.  ... not a little Matchbox or Hotwheels car.   It's for a Bratz doll...nice huh?!?!?!?  I had no idea.  He loves it!  We go it home and he dropped it.  When it hit the floor the car's radio turned on.  It has a working radio- scans through the FM dial.  Pretty cool!   So... a about an hour later I hear "Mommy Mommy come here!"  He had found a radio station that was playing a song about Jesus.  Will was so excited.  LOVE that!

The Haircut

What is it with getting a haircut? Will decided he didn't want to "take" a haircut today. He had a complete meltdown. After a long drawn out attempt, I left Marmee to convince him that it wasn't all that bad. Came back to find him sitting in a little car, watching the Wiggles, sucking on a sucker, all while getting his hair cut by a sweet lady with super long finger nails. Does is get any better than that when your 3- TV, candy, & a ride in car? He looks cute! Thankfully, we won't have to attempt a hair cut for another couple of months.

What in the world is Squirrel Ice Cream?

We hit Braum's on a regular basis for an after dinner treat (along with milk- they have the best!) Will wanted to order a "swirl" ice cream and said squirrel instead. Thought that was cute... there you have it! Thanks Will!

Getting Started
